Are you giving away energy to your smokers?
If you are providing a heated outdoor space for your smokers then the chances are that you are subsidising them.
Many heated open spaces have no controls. Is yours one of them?
With an electronic time controller from Leisure Controls International you can:
limit the amount of time that the heater is on
or
charge smokers for the amount of heat used
Allowing unlimited use of a space heating device makes no sense whatsoever. If left on and the space is not being used then the energy loss is not sustainable.
You can limit this misuse of energy by automatically switching off the heater. The LCI meter is activated either by a push of a button or by card, token or coin. For example, to prevent misuse of your heater by unauthorised people, you can issue your smoking staff with a card which can only be used in the meter. For simpler applications, you can issue tokens or even charge for a set amount of time which is payable by coin.
Example 1:
You are the landlord of a pub and you want to recover some of the costs of installing a space heater and shelter in the garden.
You install an LT3100 coin operated timer.
Example 2:
You employ 100 people and have decided to provide a heated shelter for smoking colleagues. You have noticed that the heater is being left on but no-one is using the space.
You install an LT3200 magnetic card operated timer and issue your colleagues with free single use disposable magnetic cards of one or two sessions resulting in a cashless system.
